The power of your inner voice 🌿
Hi friend,
Lately, we’ve been focusing on small shifts that create big change.
This week, I want to turn inward — not to your actions, but to the words you say to yourself.
Our inner dialogue shapes how we feel, act, and grow.
The way we talk to ourselves can either hold us back or move us forward.
We’re not talking about the classic “never say never” or “don’t say it’s going to be a bad day.” While those are true, today’s focus goes deeper — we’re working on your inner words.
Try these simple swaps:
“I always mess up.” → “I’m figuring it out, one step at a time.”
“I suck at this.” → “I’m new to this — I’ll get there.”
“I can’t handle this.” → “I’m learning how to handle it.”
It’s a replacing game — and honestly, it’s not easy at first.
It takes time, patience, kindness, and forgiveness.
When you catch yourself saying something negative, don’t lash out.
Take it as an opportunity to correct it.
“Ugh, I suck at this!” → “No… I’m new, and still learning. I’ll get there.”
While positive mindset and self-talk go hand in hand, self-talk is a great place to start. When you begin lifting yourself up and speaking with compassion, a positive mindset follows naturally.
Here’s a simple exercise to try:
Every morning, look in the mirror and say —
“You’ve got this.”
“You are beautiful.”
“I love you.”
Look yourself in the eyes. Speak kindly. Be sincere.
You might feel silly at first — maybe even roll your eyes — but keep doing it.
Self-talk isn’t about ignoring hard feelings; it’s about speaking truth with compassion. Look yourself in the eyes. Speak kindly. Be sincere.
You might feel silly at first — maybe even roll your eyes — but keep doing it.
With warmth,
Chelsie
